LGRMS: Firefighter cancer awareness incentive program

LGRMS, working in conjunction with ACCG and GMA, wants to encourage the awareness of the hazards and controls surrounding firefighter cancer across the State of Georgia. These resources are intended for internal use only and should be reviewed for applicability, and to create awareness for employee and local government safety.

2025 Firefighter Cancer Awareness Brochure

LGRMS, working in conjunction with ACCG and GMA, wants to encourage the awareness of the hazards and controls surrounding firefighter cancer across the State of Georgia. Thus, we will award two fire departments up to $5,000 in reimbursement, toward the purchase of equipment that will assist in the reduction of firefighter cancer risks (e.g. washer extractor, ventilation equipment, decontamination, etc.).
