Excellence In Policing

The Excellence in Policing Certification Program is a cooperative effort between the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (GACP) and the Georgia Interlocal Risk Management Agency (GIRMA) to help local law enforcement agencies mitigate potential liability. The certificate is good for three years. LGRMS will provide consultation services to governing authorities participating in GIRMA to receive a reduction in their law enforcement liability premiums upon the request of those such participating employers.

Department of Labor

ACCG

ACCG is a nonprofit instrumentality of Georgia’s county governments. Formed in 1914 with 19 charter county members, today ACCG serves as the consensus building, training, and legislative organization for all 159 county governments in the state.

GMA

Created in 1933, the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) is the only state organization that represents municipal governments in Georgia. Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and technical consulting services to its members.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration

With the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, Congress created the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to assure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance.

Public Agency Training Council

PATC is the largest privately held law enforcement training company in the nation offering a curriculum of over one hundred topics of academy quality training programs throughout the United States by open registration, in service and co-hosted programs.

Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police

Incorporated in 1962, the GACP has grown in membership, influence and professionalism to become one of the most respected law enforcement associations in the state. It is the largest professional association for law enforcement administrators in Georgia, and one of the largest in the country.

Georgia Sheriffs' Association

The mission of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association is to promote and further professionalize the Office of Sheriff in order to enhance public safety throughout Georgia. Since its beginning in 1954, the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association has engaged in a variety of activities and provided many services.
