David Trotter has been employed with LGRMS since April 2003 as a public safety instructor and law enforcement risk consultant. Prior to LGRMS, he was a police officer for the City of Canon, City of Royston, City of Toccoa, and City of Helen Georgia police departments. His experience includes patrol officer, Sergeant, Detective, SRT, and counter sniper. Trotter is a Georgia POST certified peace officer, graduating from the Northeast Georgia Police Academy 71st session in 1986 as an honor graduate. He holds instructor certifications as a general, senior, firearms, defensive tactics, BELOW 100, and emergency vehicle driving instructor and has been certified by California Highway Patrol as a P.I.T. instructor. Other certifications include Force Science Analysist by Force Science Institute, SWAT I and II, and police counter sniper I. He is also a National Safety Council Defensive Driving Instructor and a member of ALERT International. Trotter is also certified by Ti Training Corp. as a use of force master trainer, Ti Master Armorer, and Ti Advanced filming and editing course.
