Dennis joined Local Government Risk Management Services in October 2002. Dennis has served LGRMS as the Eastern Georgia Loss Control Field Representative, Training and Education Coordinator, and currently as Training and Communication Manager. Prior to joining Local Government Risk Management Services, Dennis was a contract instructor for the National Safety Council and the Department Safety Coordinator for a 700 employee public works department. He managed a staff of division safety representatives and was responsible for all department safety and loss control activities to include driver training, confined space entry, trenching and excavation, and hazardous materials operations.
Dennis has a B.S. Degree from Georgia State University in secondary education. He spent 20 years as an Infantry officer in the U.S. Army serving in a variety of positions including attending and graduation from the Army’s Combat Safety Officer Course as part of the Safety Officer Augmentation Detachment. Dennis continues to work as a volunteer with the Georgia Department of Defense. He is a Certified Instructor and Instructor Trainer for many of the National Safety Council’s Safety Training Courses.
