Rene joined Local Government Risk in October 1989 as the Southern Georgia Field Representative and works out of Moultrie, Georgia. Prior to joining Local Government Risk Management Services, Rene was the Safety Director for over 10 years at Colquitt Electric Membership Cooperative. Rene also served as a police officer with several municipal departments in South Georgia. He holds a BS and MS degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Valdosta State University. Rene is a POST Certified Law Enforcement Instructor and has taught classes at the Regional Academy in Tifton for over 20 years.
