About Health Promotion Services

Founded in 1988, Local Government Risk Management Services (LGRMS) is a joint program of the self-insurance funds of ACCG and GMA.  Health Promotion Services (HPS) was added to LGRMS in 2000 to help the life and health fund members of ACCG and GMA by providing a consultative approach to improving the health and wellness of employees.  The benefits of this service are to help members minimize adverse health issues which affect the well-being and productivity of employees.  Through the condition of physical and mental health, with proper nutrition, exercise, and good habits, many health issues can be prevented.  HPS provides programs to help employees modify behaviors that decrease risks associated with many diseases.
